I was looking for a very specific paddle and this one was perfect. It had the wide face I required. It was sized perfectly for my hand.

At first I was not so happy with the paddle. The first two/three times I used the paddle I was getting ready for a tournament and was not happy with the feel of the shorter grip. After the tournament my female partner wanted to switch to a different paddle so I let her use my the paddle I was playing with and I again tried the Golden paddle. After a couple more "fun" games I was started to adjust to the shorter grip(handle). I now like and recommend it. I will be using the Golden paddle in my next tournament (it will this next weekend). I will suggest to anyone trying this paddle to disregard their first impression and give the paddle a good solid try, they may be surprised on how well it may be.

My wife and I just took up pickleball in the spring of 2020. As a tennis player, I found the game relatively simple to playalmost immediately at the intermediate level, but she is still at the beginner's level. I was drawn to the Golden Classic for a larger sweet spot for her and for more spin on my slice. It seems to fit the bill on both. I was immediately pleased to see that my slice serve was breaking at least twice as much as it was previously. We also got two unexpected bonuses. With the slightly heavier paddle, my wife's backhand shots were going deeper. Similarly, I found that my overheads just crushed the ball, making it virtually impossible for any opponent to return. Overall, our first impressions were excellent. The only reason I hesitate to rate it five stars is that we have not played with the paddles long enough to know if they are durable - the jury is still out on that. If they last, then this deserves a five star rating.

When you first unwrap this paddle, you fall in love. Not only does it look pretty but when you pick it up for the first time, the combination of the perfectly balanced weight and extra grippy/cushion of the grip tape makes you feel as if you just pulled the sword out of the stone. The quality of this paddle is unmatched. When playing with it, the USAPA approved texture on the paddle easily grabs the ball and puts wicked spin on it to the extent that there are times where the ball spins away from your opponent back toward you or out of their reach after taking a deceptive bounce. I love this paddle and I feel like Thor welding his mighty hammer when playing Pickleball with it. Thanks for the rad paddle!

I do like the paddle. I feel with a bigger surface area and shorter handle for me it’s helped my control and defense. I did have to wait almost three weeks for the paddle to arrive but I will say to took off and extra 10 bucks. However, they discounted everything 30% anyway so I guess it didn’t make. Difference. That being said I really do like playing with the classic and feel more confident with it verses my Selkirk Which I paid 150 for. It seems to be a nice paddle. I’m a 3.5 player close to 4.0. So I would give it a 8.8/10 just because I waited so long. However, I understand things happen and they did reach out to me to let me know there would be a delay.

I have only been able to play with it once. But was very impressed with this paddle. It has a good sweet spot. Lightweight so no issues there. Spins the ball like crazy so if you like spins this is for you.

I started with the classic which I really liked and I switched to the Single Shot elongated paddle which is a little lighter. I feel like my hands are faster at the kitchen line and with the extra length I'm able to dig more balls than with the classic. With the extra length my drives are harder as well.
